Do you need a budget for your child’s friends birthday presents?

Not Another Birthday Party!
It seems everyday a school mother is chasing me down with an invitation to a birthday party, now either my children are very popular or I just need to add a “birthday party budget” to my already over inflated budget. The gifts we select for our child’s friend need to meet the standards of not only your child, the birthday honoree, the child’s parents and most importantly all the other children at the party who gather around to see who got what and critic its value..that’s just way too much pressure for me!!
Ok, even if we make a budget the problem still persist.. how much do you spend on each gift? Well, the answer is not so simple, you need to spend what your budget allows keeping in mind all the parameters that go into giving a great gift to children. I like to stick with a theme every year and go with that.. If I see a toy is a big hit, I make sure I stock up for the next party..
