Calendar Wall Hanging

My Mother-in-Law Expects a Calendar
One year when my kids were really little, I had them draw pictures for each month of the year (four kids, three pictures each) and I made calendars for their grandparents. In each calendar, I included family birthdays, etc. I just printed it on my home computer, and stapled it together. My mother-in-law absolutely loved it, and has come to expect a calendar for Christmas each year.
I try to come up with a new idea each year, so that it will be the same but different. I've done calendars with photos of the kids and their cousins. I've done a magnetic calendar - with the entire year, but still big enough to include small photos and family birthdays.
Last year, I made calendars for both my mother, and my mother-in-law. For a different twist, I used my photo editor to create "cartoons" of each family member, and included these photos on the calendars. For my mother, I made a magnetic calendar. My mother-in-law received a wall hanging.
This year, I have been a little lazy. I'm ordering professional looking calendars from my favorite online photo processor. With this type, you get a nicely printed and spiral bound calendar with your choice of photos and customized dates. It's a bit more expensive than making them at home, but the results are worth it, and you can still take the credit, because you do all the uploading and customizing.
