Home Made Gift Baskets
December 22nd 2009 21:38
So, I know my last post was about NOT giving gifts. But I also know that we are all going to give them. We just need to try to keep the costs down on all the gift giving. A really fun way to do that is to make home made gift baskets. There are so many different ways to do this. Each basket can be personally made for the person it will be given to. You can even buy shrink wrap to make the basket look more professional.
Gift Basket Ideas
Food always makes a good basket. Fruit is a really nice (and easy) basket to make. Just choose a pretty basket, or plastic bowl (some nice holiday ones are available for as low as $1). Fill it with apples, oranges, pears, whatever fruit you think the recipient will like. Then wrap with plastic wrap or shrink wrap, add a bow and you have a beautiful fruit basket.
Another food idea is either coffee assortments or cocoa assortments. Add some nice mugs and you have a gift that will be appreciated. Tea also works for this one.
Popcorn and a movie! A large bowl for the popcorn, several microwave bags, a DVD or two, and you have a nice movie basket.
Cookie mixes and cookie cutters. Maybe some frosting and put it all in a large mixing bowl. Add some sprinkles, chocolate chips, measuring cups --- whatever you think will help.
The only limit to giving gift baskets is your imagination.
Happy Gifting!
