Name in Photos Gift

November 13th 2009 03:58
In my never ending quest for unusual gifts, especially those I could possibly make myself, I found something I found to be truly unique and unusual. You can get your name (the name of your gift recipient) spelled out in unusual photographs. I LOVE this. AND - for the photography inclined, it would be something you could do on your own.

Now I'm going to have to be looking around me for letters in everyday objects. Fun, fun, fun!

Happy Giving!

Red Wrappings Adds The Little Voice Collection of Jewelery to Its Online Gift Store

Melbourne, Australia (OPENPRESS) -- Red Wrappings www.redwrappings.com.au has recently added The Little Voice Collection of jewelery from Lily Production and Design to its online gift store to help disadvantaged children worldwide. With 20 categories and over 2000 products to choose from, the addition of The Little Voice Collection is yet another product range that Red Wrappings has introduced to its store to build up its selection of novel gift items.

Lily Production and Design began as a vision, a dream of empowering the lives and voices of children everywhere, especially those displaced by war and deprivation. Little Voice is a brand that seeks to define itself through the fundamental philosophies of love, peace, joy and reconciliation, imparting its ideals through creative whimsy using the delicacy of flowers, butterflies, birds, bees and dragonflies. Derived from a desire to capture the most magical aspects of childhood through jewelery which includes bracelets, necklaces and earrings, these innovative designs reflect familiar, consoling and beautiful elements built around the premise of advocating core values such as love, joy, peace and acceptance.

With 10% of all profits made through the sales of Little Voice donated to various charities, disadvantaged children worldwide can be helped. “Red Wrappings can play a part in this by helping to distribute these products so that more people can choose to buy gifts that are not only beautiful but also meaningful and help to make a difference”, says Su Cameron, Marketing Director of Red Wrappings.

Designed in Australia, these jewelery with their intricate designs embellished with Australian precious and semi-precious stones are handmade by gifted artisans. Poetic inscriptions evoke a youthful nostalgia and inspire a belief in happy endings. The Little Muse range presents hand crafted silver snowflake necklaces and bracelets with black and lavender crystal opals. There’s also the Little Muse Lantern hand sculpted silver amulet with delicate silver doves, embellished with fine carbochon aqua marine stones. The 22 carat gold amethyst briolette ear-rings are designed to invite light and reflect aesthetic harmony. For lovers of tiny teddy bears, the Meme Bear range of bracelets and necklaces have solid silver bears which symbolize the belief that anyone can be a significant and powerful voice of their generation. This bear collection is youthful and edgy, keeping creative vibrancy alive.

The proceeds of Little Voice product sales are donated to various charities including The Princess Moonbeam Foundation, The Australian Children’s Music Foundation and the Fernando Foundation, helping to bring hope to disadvantaged children around the world.

Only products that meet the Red Wrappings quality criteria are selected. This gives customers the assurance that whatever they choose, they know it will meet their expectation. “Red Wrappings selects items that are not commonly available in every other store; gifts that are different or unusual like the Little Voice Collection. The site offers free delivery to anywhere in Australia, irrespective of which country the gift is ordered from”, says Ms Cameron.

Red Wrappings is also available in the UK as www.redwrappings.co.uk.

Wine Country Gift Baskets

December 13th 2008 21:21
I'm really getting a slow start on Christmas gift buying this year. I just can't get into it, for some reason. I guess it's mostly because I don't want to get my kids the gifts they've asked for. (Not just being mean, I have good reasons.)

My middle boys, 15 and 17, want an XBox 360. They've had a Play Station, and a PS 2, and many other video game systems before. Right now, none of the game systems work, except the really OLD ones that they don't want to play anymore. The thing is, I'm enjoying them NOT playing video games. When they have a good system that works properly, they tend to fight over whose turn it is. They seem to get more aggresive when they're playing. And - they don't do anything useful around the house

I realize it's almost too late, but there are some really awesome Father's Day gift ideas at gifts.com.

One I absolutely love, but won't work for my honey (or my dad either) is a set of t-shirts for a dad and son. The dad shirt says "Big Guy" and the son shirt says "Little Guy" - they are so cute. Our "little" guys are bigger than their dad now, so that won't work for us

Daisy-Dot Launches Website

February 7th 2008 05:49
(OPENPRESS) February 7, 2008 -- Introducing Daisy-Dot.com, which is a new web site for unique gifts and accessories for women and girls. Daisy-Dot focuses on preppy accessories for teen and preteen girls who love to play sports such as lacrosse, tennis, field hockey and basketball. Daisy-Dot has taken sports themes and made them cute, pretty and preppy for young women.

Daisy-Dot is owned and operated by three moms who among them have eight daughters who love to play sports and lead an active lifestyle. The founders were disappointed that blue and black colors tend to dominate girls sportswear and accessories. “Daisy-Dot has now filled a void in the sportswear industry since most sports apparel and sports accessories companies focus on males,” says Kim, one of Daisy-Dot’s owners. “Girls can now dress and look feminine while style looking sporty,” adds Kim

A tie tack - that's all he's asked for - a tie tack!

I've looked in all my usual places - Walmart, my favorite department stores, and the mall - and I haven't been able to find one. I finally did a search online. WOW! I found bunches of them

Those ADS come in handy sometimes...

December 5th 2007 18:47
I know we're not supposed to click on our own ads, but sometimes I see one I just can't resist. I found a personalized gifts website I absolutely love!

Personalization Mall is my dream site. I'll admit, I frequently don't buy personalized items, but I love to find new ideas for things to make. And, sometimes, I do purchase such items as well
