Traditional paper Holiday greeting cards OUT! Video greeting cards IN!
November 9th 2006 22:40
Ah, remember those days when you had to buy paper greeting cards, personally handwrite a meaningful message and then stand in line at the post office and buy stamps, then lick those suckers onto hundreds of holiday cards, then run out to mail them before mid December to make sure they got to all your friends and family on time?
Then we got a little lazy and we had cards with our greeting pre printed and off we went. After that we added a family picture to the mix and we thought we were really hip.. When this wasn’t cool any more, we forgot all that and just went ahead and took the family picture scanned it on to our computers and e-mailed it along with a big bold message wishing everyone a Happy New Year. (All this could be done even on Christmas Day)
This year, we need to come up with something else and that something else is, what else but the VIDEO CARD.. yes, just when we were starting to simplify our lives we dive again in to the personalization and time consuming holiday greeting tradition..
I’m actually going to try one this year and will present it to all of you as soon as I’m done for your approval.. There are many options to do this like using Power Point, Nero, photo impression or windows movie maker as well as many others. I will experiment with all and let you know how it works out.. I would love to get some feedback on your experiences with this.
