A press release posted on Public Journalist tells about the Give One, Get One promotion of One Laptop Per Child.
According to their website, One Laptop Per Child is working toward a goal of every child in the world owning his or her own laptop.
During this promotion, a $399 donation provides a laptop to a child in a developing nation, and one to you to give to a child you know. The XO laptop is specifically designed with children in mind. It is geared toward learning and fun.
There are three ways to give. You may give only to a child in a developing nationp; until December 31, 2007 you may participate in the give one, get one program; or you may give many laptops. By giving 100 or more, you are able to choose the geographic region to which your gift will be sent.
