Teacher’s Gifts, who gets what?
November 13th 2006 20:21
Every Year I go through the same thing, what do I get my children’s teachers? I not only have to think of his school teacher but also the teachers aid, the piano teacher, ballet teacher, soccer teacher.. where does it end? I never know what is appropriate and how much I should spend. After all, these are the people teaching and caring for my children daily and preparing them for the future. I appreciate everything they do and I like to pamper them at the end of the year.
I try to get unusual and personalized gifts so they know I appreciate them and spent time thinking about them. I like personalization mall where you can get specific teachers gifts. I also like my kids to get involved and creative kids at home is a great resource place. Throughout the year I try to learn a little about each teacher and start to get a sense of what they like. Giving someone a gift they don’t expect is the best gift of all. I try to remember little things they say to me about their life and tastes and then use that as the base of my gifts.
A special note attached to the gift is also very important, let them know how much you appreciate them and how much your child cares for them. It is important to start teaching children the meaning of appreciation and respect for their caregivers and special teachers.
